On Friday the 23rd May, some children from Year 4, 5 and 6 went on an amazing trip to see David Walliams at the Kings Theatre. When we arrived and sat down we saw that the Mayor of Portsmouth was also there. Two our pupils from Meon got the mayors autograph at the end of the trip - Some of us got a high five and a wave! David told us lots of stories about his family and he revealed his exquisite up and coming books that he was about to unleash to the world. He also threw in some stand up comedy which was very enjoyable! We liked it when he read out his favourite pages of Gangster granny and told some funny stories about it. The funniest bit was when he picked out different children from different schools to discus who the worst teacher was in the school. We're glad that we didn't get picked to talk because it would of been a nightmare to choose haha!
