The children at Meon Junior School recently marked the 80th Anniversary of VE Day by having a street party in the playground. The children enjoyed a variety of cakes, listened to Winston Churchill's speech addressing the end of World War II and a selection of 1940s music.
It was lovely to see children in their Cubs, Scouts, Brownies and Cadets uniforms with such a sense of pride.
