Meon Way Federation had the privilege of being invited to the home of Portsmouth Football Club for the finale of ‘In Our Words’, a year-long festival of reading and literacy supported by Portsmouth Creates , Pompey in the Community and Portsmouth School Library Service .
To mark World Book Day, we joined over 6,000 children and smashed the record for the world’s largest ever reading lesson, and we got to dress up as our favourite book characters!
This event was such a great opportunity for our pupils to learn about being their best selves; by showcasing how much we love to read at Meon Way Federation.
